Thank you.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I wanted to know if there is any way to limit the scope of the field types. So they they don&#039;t appear on every list of entire farm. In my company, some department may see this custom field control and would like to use it but, I have coded it in such a way (it connects to some predefined lists etc) it will always fail for them. I am just facing a small problem, after adding the .ascx file the page is complainig abt &#039;Corrupted control template&#039;, seems as if it cannot find the ID &#039;TextField&#039; in sharepoint.dll.
